Welcome

Welcome to the West London Pool League (WLP) website. Primarily, the league covers the West part of London, however, we are looking to extend our coverage should the requirement exist. The WLP pride ourselves in being at the forefront of our innovative league formations in this country. We allocate our teams or players into a Business division, Public & Community division and Student division. Furthermore, they are subdivided by playing standard level. The structure of the WLP is specifically designed to match the players into each other's profile, standard and requirement in order to allow players to thoroughly enjoy the wholesome experience of the game of pool. As you can see, the WLP puts the needs of our teams and players first.

The WLP is affiliated to the English Pool Association and Royal Berkshire County Pool Association, which means that our league is able to provide maximum opportunities for players to compete in national / international open competitions to a very high standard. We also encourage our players to take part in the interleague competitions, which offer perfect opportunities to meet with our associated league players and compare pool skills with each other. We are dedicated to improving our players' playing standards and hope to provide infinite opportunities for them to progress in pool.

In terms of WLP match nights, Mondays (Public & Community division), Tuesdays (Business division) and Thursdays (Student division) are our standard match nights, while there are matches we hold during the course of the season and over weekends or bank holidays. Match start times are 8.15pm but with both sides' captains' agreement, matches can be started at a later time as long as the match can be completed on the same night. Each match consists of 6 singles and 3 doubles with a minimum of 6 players per team, two seasons per year. All WLP matches are play to the English 8-ball pool rules.
