Welcome

Welcome to the West London Pool League (WLP) website. Primarily, the league covers the West part of London, however, we are looking to extend our coverage should the requirement exist. The WLP pride ourselves in being at the forefront of our innovative league formations in this country. We allocate our teams or players into a Business division, Public & Community division and Student division. Furthermore, they are subdivided by playing standard level.

The 8 Ball Academy

We are pleased to announce the very first official 8 Ball Pool training courses, recognised by the English Pool Association.

Each course is three full days of instruction and demonstration, under the direction of our head coach, Steve Daking. Discounted accommodation is available within easy reach of the venue, Miscues in Barnsley .

Unlike many sports, there is not a culture of learning within pool - we are setting out to change that. Most players pick up their skills from other people, and much of this advice is flawed or even downright wrong. The truth is, without taking time to study the game in detail eventually a player will reach a plateau with their game and will not progress any further. Our courses are designed to give students all the tools they need to produce consistent results and maximise their potential.

For more information about the 8 Ball Academy and our courses, click here to vist the official website.

Our first courses take place in August and more will follow.

We hope that you agree with us that formal training in the sport of 8 Ball Pool is long overdue. Help us to spread the message by forwarding this email to as many of your pool playing friends as you can.

If you know of any website that could link to ours, we would be happy to provide a link in return. Click here for our banner and link information.

It is our hope that by improving the standard of pool we can raise the profile of the sport to the level it deserves. Thank you for being a part of that.
